The fourth season of the animated comedy series Bob's Burgers began airing on the Fox network in the United States on September 29, 2013, and concluded on May 18, 2014. The show was once again part of Fox's Sunday night lineup, initially airing in its usual timeslot of 8:30 PM Eastern. Beginning on March 9 and continuing for the rest of the season, Bob's Burgers moved to 7:00 PM Eastern; the move came as a result of the addition of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey to the network's lineup. In this season, Bob subs as the home economics teacher at the kids' school (Bob and Deliver), Linda goes to her high school reunion and ends up singing there (Purple Rain-Union), the family tries to create a local Super Bowl advertisement (Easy Com-mercial, Easy Go-mercial), and the kids set up a trap for Santa Claus (Christmas in the Car).

All main cast members reprised their roles. On May 14, 2012, Fox renewed Bob's Burgers for a third season consisting of 13 episodes. On August 23, 2012, six additional scripts were ordered. The third season consisted of the 13 episodes from the second production cycle that did not air during the second season, and also included episodes from the third cycle. This season featured guest stars such as Thomas Lennon, Jon Hamm, Zach Galifianakis, Jeffrey Tambor, Gary Cole, Bill Hader, and Aziz Ansari.

Actors H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal reprised their roles as Bob Belcher, Linda Belcher, Tina Belcher, Gene Belcher and Louise Belcher. These characters are all a part of the Belcher family, a nuclear family that run a hamburger restaurant, entitled Bob's Burgers.

Bob Belcher, along with his wife and three children, try to run their last hope of holding the family together, which is running Bob's dream restaurant. Bob's Burgers centers on the Belcher family (consists of Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene and Louise) who own a hamburger restaurant. Bob's burgers are really delicious and appear to be better than his rivals' but when it comes to selling burgers, his kids aren't really helpful, as more customers head over to Jimmy Pesto's restaurant.

The twentieth season of the American animated sitcom South Park premiered on Comedy Central on September 14, 2016 and ended on December 7, 2016, containing ten episodes. As with most seasons of the show, all episodes are written and directed by series co-creator and co-star Trey Parker. Like the previous two seasons, this season features an episode-to-episode continuity, but unlike the previous two, the continuity is more linear, as if the whole season is one story arc. This season featured recurring themes focusing on Internet trolls, nostalgia, and the 2016 United States presidential election. This season also had planned "dark weeks", weeks where no new episodes would air, which has been done since the 19th season. These were after episode three, episode six, and episode eight.

The nineteenth season of the American animated sitcom South Park premiered on Comedy Central on September 16, 2015, and ended on December 9, 2015, containing ten episodes. As with most seasons of the show, all episodes are written and directed by series co-creator and co-star Trey Parker. The Blu-Ray and DVD sets were released exclusively to Best Buy on August 16, 2016, and were available worldwide on September 6. Much like the previous season, this season features an episode-to-episode continuity, with political correctness as a recurring theme. This season introduced PC Principal as a new major character, replacing South Park Elementary's previous principal, Principal Victoria. This season featured planned "dark weeks", weeks where no new episodes aired. These were after episode three, episode six, and episode eight.

Four caroling children meet Jesus and Santa Claus and learn the true meaning of Christmas. A heart warming tale of four children trying to decide which to cheer for: Jesus, or Santa. It almost makes one wonder what Brian Boitano would do in this situation. In the end, though, they decide that Christmas isn't a time for settling old scores, Christmas is about one thing: presents.

Four children, all but one of whom go unnamed, build a snowman which comes to life and threatens their town. Kenny, the only child whose name is given in the film, and who resembles the character called Cartman in the subsequent Spirit of Christmas, The (1995) and "South Park" (1997), is immediately killed by the monster. When the children go to Santa for help, he is revealed to be the monster in disguise, and slaughters another of the kids. The two survivors approach the baby Jesus, who takes on the evil snowman and wins, saving Christmas.

The eighteenth season of the American animated sitcom South Park premiered on Comedy Central on September 24, 2014 with "Go Fund Yourself", and ended with "#HappyHolograms" on December 10, 2014, with a total of ten episodes. The season featured serial elements and recurring story lines, which The A.V. Club noted as an experimentation with episode-to-episode continuity, in which the episodes "explore the consequences of the boys' actions [week to week], allowing the plots to be motivated in part by their attempts to dig themselves out of a hole". As for most seasons of the show, all episodes of season 18 were written and directed by the series co-creator and co-star Trey Parker.

The seventeenth season of the animated television series South Park premiered on Comedy Central on September 25, 2013 and ended on December 11, 2013. The season consists of 10 episodes, as series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone decided to scale back and have one uninterrupted season, as opposed to two 7-episode runs, as had been the format since season 7. Aside from Parker, who wrote and directed all episodes, this season employed additional writers, one of whom is former Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader, who began working full-time on the show. Due to a power outage at the studio, episode 4 ("Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers") missed the deadline and aired a week later than scheduled.
