It's borderline impossible to not know who the Simpsons are. It's the most popular, well-known and critically acclaim animated sitcom out there. For a good reason too: all the characters are iconic, no matter who small or important they are. During their fantastic run from 1989 to PRESENT, everyone got their chance to shine.

A serious investigation takes place - Mr. Burns was shot by someone unknown. The town police interrogates many people but there are no clues until Mr. Burns himself doesn’t wake up for a few seconds and is able to speak only one name - Homer Simpson. After this accident the head of the Simpson family is arrested and gets in jail only to escape rather soon. His daughter holds her own investigation of the accident and reveals some facts which might clear her father’s name. It all ends up when Burns wakes up one more time and this time speaks more clearly. In another episode Springfield becomes the scene for the production of one popular TV show. Bart and Milhouse take part in the audition to get the role.

It became that hot in Springfield it was really difficult to stand it. Bart and Lisa come up with the decision it would be much easier to stand the heat with their own swimming pool. They ask their father to arrange it on the back yard. The swimming pools becomes really popular among other children. While having fun and jumping from the nearby tree Bart accidentally falls and breaks his leg. When it is understood he will spend the whole summer in his room lying in bed Lisa presents him her telescope. Later when watching through the telescope in the neighbor’s yard Bart notices Ned Flanders with the shovel. His own thoughts bring him to the decision that Flanders had killed his wife Maude.

In the first episode there is a flashback where Homer is shown during the most adventurous period of his life. He was a real musician, have been playing with the group. The Be Sharps (gang's name) were of such popularity they even had won Grammy. It was a period full of emotions and passions, but still it ended up with Homer missing his family and group’s breakup. The life of the family turns into thriller when on one regular day Bart opens a letter and understands it is written with blood. Later there are more such letters and they all come from Sideshow Bob, who was recently released from the prison. Simpsons have to move to another place while taking part in Witness Relocation Program.

Two elder kids ask the parents for a permission to spend their summer vacation at the Camp Krusty. They want to have some rest from Marge and Homer as well as both parents want to spend certain time away from the children. Bart and Lisa also hope to meet their old friend at the camp. But when they arrive it is understood their dreams won’t become true. The camp is under the total control of the awful teenagers from the school and the head of the camp himself is just a cruel accountant. This won’t last long, Bart and Lisa soon takes the whole power over the camp and wait for the Crusty to arrive so that they could have the real adventures with him in Mexico.

When Marge decides to wash all Homer’s shirts Bart puts his red t-shirt inside the washing machine. Of course, when Homer’s shirts are taken out from it they all are of pink color. He has no other choice but to wear a pink shirt and go to work. But his insanity in seriously questioned by his colleagues. Why is Homer wearing a pink shirt? Meanwhile Lisa prepares to celebrate her eighth birthday, she feels rather depressed about it, but eventually it all turns to be awesome. Especially when there is a star John Jay Smith singing a song written for her! Later Lisa signs up to take part in a essay contest which Homer had found for her. To make it to the finale the whole family heads to the capital.

Bart has a bad luck during his test on the history of the USA. This makes him desperate, so he asks for help from the well-known genius Martin Prince. In return he promises to teach him how to be cool and forget about all the humiliation from the school popular guys. But Bart was too convincing or had put too many efforts and Martin just lost all his interest to school and to the study. Unfortunately that didn't help Bart to pass the test. In another episode Homer takes part in the experimental program which is developed to improve the hair growth. So after he has much more hair Marge finds him much more attractive and even sexy.

Young Bart makes a tatoo and his mother Marge spends all money available in family budget to fix it. Father Homer experience the lack of money and can’t buy Christmas presents. Two other family members - Liza and Maggie - will have their own troubles and adventures. Simpsons will meet many famous people, they will decide many local and global problems. Their life is full of unpredictable actions, desires and thoughts, but whatever happens around they always choose to stay together as a family.

Maggie Simpson spends the day in the Ayn Rand School for Tots. Marge Simpson drops off Maggie at the Ayn Rand School for Tots, where, after going through a security screening, she is classified as being of "average intelligence", upon which a guard carries her past the "Room for Gifted Babies" and puts her in the "Nothing Special" dreary corner. The playtime items are either taken away or eaten by the other babies. A butterfly then makes its way into the room as Maggie's nemesis, Baby Gerald, squashes and kills it on the wall with a mallet and draws a box around it with a crayon. A second butterfly also meets the same fate. Maggie finds a caterpillar and a pop-up book about the life cycle of the butterfly. Realizing that the caterpillar could also meet the fate of the first two butterflies, she tries to protect it from Gerald. The caterpillar later encases itself in a chrysalis and starts to transform. Once the newly formed butterfly emerges, Maggie tries to help it fly out of the window, but Gerald seemingly kills it by shutting the blinds on it as it attempts to pass through. Maggie dramatically mourns as she falls to the floor. Marge then arrives to pick her up, when it is revealed Maggie's scene was only a ruse to cover the truth: she had slipped her hair bow onto the windowsill and wore the butterfly on her forehead in its place. She then sets the butterfly free as Marge drives her home.

After Homer accidentally pollutes the town's water supply, Springfield is encased in a gigantic dome by the EPA and the Simpson family are declared fugitives. Homer adopts a pig who's run away from Krusty Burger after Krusty tried to have him slaughtered, naming the pig "Spider Pig." At the same time, the lake is protected after the audience sink the barge Green Day are on with garbage after they mention the environment. Meanwhile, Spider Pig's waste has filled up a silo in just 2 days, apparently with Homer's help. Homer can't get to the dump quickly so dumps the silo in the lake, polluting it. Russ Cargill, the villainous boss of the EPA, gives Arnold Schwarzenegger 5 options, forcing him to choose 4 (which is, unfortunately, to destroy Springfield) and putting a dome over Springfield to prevent evacuation. Homer, however, has escaped, along with his family. Can he stop the evil Cargill from annihilating his home town, and his family, who have been forced to return to Springfield?
