“At the back of the school” - a series of Soviet cartoon films, filmed by director Valery Ugarov at the Soyuzmultfilm studio in 1978-1985, comic stories about schoolchildren.

The first two issues are voiced by Vladimir Martynov’s original music, performed on the synthesizer EMS Synthi 100; The author of the music for the last two releases is avant-garde composer Vyacheslav Artyomov. On the first and second release of the cartoon, the eponymous comic book was also released.

The cartoon characters are Olga Znaykina, an excellent pupil, and Boris Lekin, a bad student, who sit next to each other in the back row. Olya dreams of turning Leikin into an excellent student, but he continues to be a Losers and mischievous.

The events of the cartoon take place in parallel in reality and in the animated caricatures that Boris Leikin paints, where he, under the name Barmaleikin, chases Zaznaykina, invents fantastic cars and travels in space and time. In order to teach Leykina a lesson (in both senses), Olga intervenes in the plot of his drawings, often with one additional stroke turning a victory into a defeat.
